Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of DCA is our mission to the world – while in the world but not of the world – and loving as He loves the world. It begins with our own community and spreads to every people, creed, race, and nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries. Here are some ways how you can serve at DCA.

Faithful Attendance

The simple act of attending church regularly goes a long way in terms of supporting the ministry of the local church. While attending church does not make one a Christian, it can be said that the born-again Christian is more than eager to be faithful to be in the house of God. Every service is a new opportunity to receive a fresh touch from the Lord and you won’t want to miss your opportunity!
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the
manner of some [is]; but exhorting [one another]: and
so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
(Hebrews 10:25, KJV)

Mission Outreach

DCA is thrilled to be part of spreading the gospel message of Jesus Christ through missionary efforts outside our borders. Not only have we seen our very own church members devote their lives to spreading the message of the gospel but we are active in supporting these missionaries with our money and with our prayers. We highly encourage all DCA members to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it involves moving to a foreign country or live and minister in our own communities. We must be busy about the Master’s work!

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be underestimated! DCA strongly believes in the power of prayer and the effectiveness of the fervent prayer warrior (James 5:16). If you’re looking for a way to be involved in a ministry that truly touches lives, consider becoming a prayer warrior. Anyone and everyone can join the prayer warrior ranks regardless of age, position, or official DCA membership. We need prayer warriors – this world needs prayer warriors!

Church Cleaning

Keeping the sanctuary, nursery, bathrooms, classrooms/library, and fellowship hall clean and tidy comes by a group of volunteers who faithfully take their turn cleaning the interior of the church. DCA is always looking for more volunteers who can pick up a rag, push a vacuum, and maneuver a mop for the honor and glory of God. Look for the sign-up sheet & cleaning schedule on the church bulletin to be a part of the cleaning crew.

Church Grounds Maintenance

DCA is interested in maintaining the outward aesthetics of the church grounds and hopes to improve it with more landscaping and improvements. If you’re handy with yard maintenance and/or repair work, there is a place for you to get involved at DCA! Whether it’s a scheduled work day or some personal time you wish to dedicate to the upkeep of the church grounds, we would love to hear from you. There’s no task too big or too small when it comes to the work of the Lord!

Faithful Giving

You may have heard it said that God loves a cheerful giver more times that you care to count. The truth is that God does love the cheerful giver (2 Cor. 9:7). Your faithfulness in giving to the work and ministry of DCA is just one more way where you can get involved, abide by the Scriptures, and further the Kingdom of God.
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be
meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the
LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven,
and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not
[be room] enough [to receive it]
